WHY?
The Lanzarote Ultra is not just another endurance event; it's purpose-built for athletes who want to:
1. Secure a future A2A slot
If you're aiming for A2A in the coming years, this event is one of the strongest ways to demonstrate readiness, capability, and commitment. It gives you a meaningful edge when slots open and ensures your name is in the right conversations early. It also allows the Enduroman team to get to know you and see if you are ready for the A2A.
2. Prepare properly for a future A2A slot
The Lanzarote Ultra is arguably the best A2A simulation available, combining:
• Endurance sea swimming after a long run
• Nutrition practice (particularly during the swim)
• Testing run nutrition and run recovery before swim
• Road run route and hilly bike course mimicking the A2A course
• As half A2A distance it has the same balance of discipline distances
• A brutal test of pacing, mindset, and resilience
3. Take on a phenomenal standalone challenge
You do not need to be committed to the A2A to take part. The Lanzarote Ultra stands on its own as an iconic and demanding challenge - perfect for endurance triathletes looking for the next challenge after Ironman.
Why Lanzarote Ultra matters
• Proven pathway toward A2A selection
• An exceptional training stimulus
• Meet the Enduroman Team and other A2A athletes
• Fully supported, professionally organised, and designed to push your limits
• A legitimate accomplishment in its own right
• Take part in an ultra challenge away from the cold northern hemisphere winter
